Michol Ecklund

Michol Ecklund joined Anew Climate as Executive Vice President and General Counsel in September 2024. She currently leads the company’s Legal, Marketing and Policy functions. Prior to joining Anew, Michol served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Callon Petroleum Company, a publicly traded oil and gas company, for seven years where she led the company’s legal, sustainability and human resources divisions. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ecklund held roles of increasing responsibility at Marathon Oil Company, which culminated in her role as Deputy General Counsel overseeing the operations, regulatory and transactional legal teams operations as well as communications and government relations activities for the company.  Michol began her career at Baker Botts LLP in Houston. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University, where she currently serves on the Board of Trustees, and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
