Riding Coast to Coast to Help End Childhood Hunger

Published on Apr 20, 2026

3,400 miles. Coast to coast. One goal: help end childhood hunger.

That journey is now underway as Mark Strauss sets out to cycle across the United States in support of No Kid Hungry, with the goal of raising $1 million to help fight childhood hunger across the country.

Beginning in Orange County, California, and ending in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, the ride will span two months and cover thousands of miles through diverse landscapes and communities. It’s a significant physical undertaking, but more importantly, it’s a powerful demonstration of how individual commitment can mobilize broader action on an issue affecting millions of families in the U.S.

Childhood hunger is a persistent and complex challenge, but it is solvable. Organizations like No Kid Hungry are working to ensure that children have consistent access to the food they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Efforts like these help bring greater visibility to that mission while generating critical funding to support programs on the ground.

Anew is proud to support the No Kid Hungry Ride as a leading sponsor, reflecting our broader commitment to investing in communities and supporting initiatives that create tangible, real-world impact. While our work often focuses on addressing global climate challenges, we recognize the importance of contributing to myriad causes that directly affect people and communities today.

Throughout the journey, Anew employees will also join different legs of the ride—an opportunity to show support firsthand and take part in the experience alongside Mark. From short segments to longer stretches, their participation reflects the collective spirit behind this effort.

As the ride continues over the coming weeks, we’ll be following along and cheering Mark on as he makes his way across the country. We’re honored to play a small part in supporting this initiative and the broader mission to help end childhood hunger.
